Send without the cloud

Share a file directly, browser to browser, without uploading it to Google Drive, Dropbox or a server.

A quick one-off share

Send someone a file once, with nothing stored and no account to create on either side.

Questions

How does browser-to-browser file transfer work?

Your file streams directly from your browser to the other person's browser over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. It is never uploaded to a server, we only help the two browsers find each other.

Is there a file size limit?

No. Because nothing is uploaded to us, there is no size cap. The only limit is how long it takes to send over your connection, so very large files just take a little longer.

Is the transfer private and secure?

Yes. The file goes straight between the two browsers over an encrypted connection and is never stored on any server. Once the transfer finishes, nothing is left behind.

Do both people need to be online at the same time?

Yes. This is a live, direct transfer, so keep your tab open until the other person has finished downloading. If you close it early, the transfer stops.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers, so you can send a file from a phone to a laptop or between two phones, as long as both are on the page.
